How to Apply
A. Admission Criteria
- We welcome your decision to seek admission in Heritage Baptist Bible College and Seminary. Our admissions office will help you through the application process. Admissions requirements and programme prerequisites differ depending on which degree programme you are applying for. Refer to our catalogue for specific details or contact our Registrar’s Office.
- HBBCS admits students who show a sincere desire to learn God’s word.
- Students must profess a testimony of faith and personal salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- The applicant if admitted should show growth in Academics, Christian Character, and commitment to and fulfil God’s will in life.
- Applicants that apply to HBBCS must agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the institution.
B. Programmes Offered
Applications are accepted for the following programmes:
- Dip.Th. — Diploma in Theology
- B.Th. — Bachelor of Theology (Departments: Theology / Christian Education)
- M.Div. — Master of Divinity (Departments: Theology / Mission & Counselling)
- M.Th. — Master of Theology (Departments: New Testament / Mission & Counselling)

C. Online Application — Step by Step
All applications are submitted through our Online Application Portal. Click the “APPLY NOW” button to begin.
The application is divided into 7 steps:
- Personal Information — Your basic details, programme choice, and intake year.
- Address & Background — Permanent address, correspondence address, and emergency contact. Languages known and spiritual background are also collected here.
- Church Information — Details of your home church, pastor, and Christian ministry involvement.
- References — Contact details of your references who will vouch for your character and ministry.
- Education — Your 10th, 12th, degree (for postgraduate applicants), and any prior biblical/theological education.
- Documents — Upload all required supporting documents directly in the portal (max 200 KB per file).
- Review & Submit — Review all your information before final submission.
Your application is auto-saved as a draft after each step. You can resume at any time using your Application ID.
D. Required Documents
The following documents must be uploaded during Step 6 of the application:
All Applicants:
- Passport-size photograph
- 10th Certificate / Marksheet
- 12th Certificate / Marksheet
- Church Recommendation Letter
- ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID)
- Baptism Certificate
- Pastor’s Letter
Postgraduate Applicants (M.Div. / M.Th.) — Additional:
- Degree Certificate
Each file must not exceed 200 KB. Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, PDF.
At the time of physical admission, all admitted students must bring original certificates and attested photocopies of all educational qualifications, along with a recent physical examination report from a qualified medical practitioner.
E. Application Deadline & Processing Fee
- The completed application, along with all uploaded documents, must be submitted on or before May 23rd to be considered for admission in the upcoming academic year starting in June.
- Late applications will not be processed.

Upon admission, an application processing fee of Rs. 250 is payable at the HBBCS office.
F. Additional Requirements for Postgraduate & Doctoral Applicants

Applicants enrolling in M.Th. programmes must submit three letters of recommendation. The Registrar’s Office will send official recommendation forms to the email addresses provided in the application.
- The recommending persons must complete and send their forms directly to the Registrar’s Office via mail or email, as specified in the application instructions.
- All postgraduate applicants are reviewed on the basis of their academic record, testimony, extent of Christian ministry involvement, and the recommendation of their references.
- An entrance exam is conducted for all postgraduate applicants, following which an interview is arranged.
G. Day Scholars
- HBBCS primarily encourages only residential mode of study.
- However, students may be admitted as Day Scholars on agreeing to certain conditions stipulated by the Administration.
- Living in close proximity or in an easily commutable location from the college shall be considered.
- The applicant must consent to abide by the rules of the Institution.
